Hadoop Administrator

A position for an Hadoop administrator has been created with this telecom operator in the Netherlands.

You will use your extensive experience and knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem.

As a Senior engineer with deep experience with Hadoop, our client will expect:

6+ years of overall experience in analysing requirements, designing, developing and building highly distributed applications using Big Data and Java technologies.
3+ years of expertise in Hadoop ecosystem (MapReduce [MR1, YARN], HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, Oozie, HBase, Zookeeper, MongoDB, Cassandra)
Good exposure working with Hadoop distribution Cloudera (CDH3 & CDH4)
Hands-on experience with setting up or configuring a multi-node Hadoop cluster
Working experience in Map Reduce programming model and Hadoop Distributed File Systems.
Experience in working with NoSQL databases like HBase and Cassandra.
Worked on several Apache Hadoop projects and Map Reduce programs were developed for data transformation using Hadoop Java API, Hive and Pig.
Experience in writing and implementing the Hive ad-hoc queries.
Hands on experience in Linux Shell Scripting and Web Services implementation using REST and SOAP services.
Experience working with build tools like Maven and Ant.
Diverse experience in working with variety of Database like Oracle, MySQL, Netezza.
Experience in debugging applications and developing Unit test cases using JUnit Framework with good coverage.
Experience in logging the application using Log4j.
Experience on AGILE, SDLC design methodologies.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with self-learning attitude.
Have the motivation to take independent responsibility as well as ability to contribute and be a productive team

Dutch speaking is preferred but not a must.
