Hadoop Administrator

HADOOP ADMINISTRATOR

We are currently recruiting for a Hadoop Administrator based in Northampton on a potentially long term contract. The successful candidate will be joining a team to provide; support and management for the Hadoop environment. The Hadoop Administrator will be working in a newly built environment and will be responsible for incident and problem resolution as well as installing and building Hadoop environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Install and configure all aspects of the Hadoop environment
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills and will manage day to day activities in the Hadoop environment.
- Work to tight timescales to install and build Hadoop environment to support projects and business requirements
- Monitoring issues, adhering to SLA's
- Provide production support to resolve incidents and problem resolution.
- The role holder will integrate Hadoop with other Products such as Informatica PowerCentre & SAS
- Cloudera Certified Administrator
- Understanding of hardware used for Big data solutions
- Strong technical background in Linux Administration
- Datamodelling & ETL Knowledge
- Scripting Skills
