Job Title: Guidewire Developer

Job Category: 6 month contract
Work Experience: 5+ years as a developer, 2 years of Guidewire (Policy, Billing, Claims), JAVA, XML, GOSU, Agile
DESCRIPTION:
- Seeking a Guidewire Developer to design, develop and unit test configuration solutions while configuring screen layouts, including creation of new screens.
- Write business rules and other business logic in GOSU and configure operational parameters such as roles and permissions, user attributes regions, etc.
SKILLS:
- Configure Guidewire applications using JAVA, XML and GOSU
- Property and Casualty P&C insurance knowledge
- Experience with Guidewire Billing Center, Policy Center and or Claims Center in terms of integration
- Ability to design, configure, and test software products Relational Database and Data Modeling experience Object Oriented Programming experience (JAVA preferred)
- Technical skills to master application configuration: modifying XML definitions, Scripting (JavaScript, VB, etc.), understanding of relational database concepts, and other skills involved with implementing an advanced web application
- Experience with Agile
- Ability to work with engineers to review technical designs and participate in code reviews
- Must have the ability to solve complex technical problems and understand when to escalate issues
- Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities, with a strong attention to details
- Capable of adapting quickly to new systems and learning, understanding, and applying new technologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience
