ABOUT THE PROJECT
GTN Technical Staffing has an urgent need for a strong GUI Developers opportunity in Dallas, TX. Our client is feeling a deep sense of urgency and will begin conducting technical phone screens ASAP.

JOB SUMMARY
The GUI Developers should have familiarity in client-side MVC approaches (eg Backbone, Ember, Handlebars, etc.). Being a solid developer means having an eye for design, and interest in building UI across multiple platforms.

This position will involve being knowledgeable about mobile web development, and have opinions on:

- When to use responsive design techniques, or build separate sites for mobile/desktop.
- When to build a hybrid app, as HTML5 within a native wrapper (ala LinkedIn's iPad app).
- When building a native app makes the most sense: Objective-C for iOS, Java for Android.

REQUIREMENTS

- Demonstrable proficiency in JavaScript, beyond the use of libraries (ie not just jQuery).
- Extensive experience in Computer Science.
- Mastery of HTML & CSS, understanding layout techniques: floats, absolute positioning, etc.

PREFERRED

- Server Side MVC frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails, Django, .NET.
- Page rendering performance - ie at the bottom, minification.
- Continuous integration and unit-testing JavaScript.
- CSS preprocessors, such as SASS or LESS.
- Building sites using Drupal, or similar content management system.
- Node.js
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
