Our client are a market leader in the Aerospace manufacturing industry and are currently recruiting for a Group Quality Manager. Based in the Sunbury-on-Thames area with regular travel to other sites and occasional visits to customers and suppliers. You will be responsible for 11 direct reports including Quality Engineers and Inspectors. The Group Quality Manager in responsible for the Design, implementation, control and develop quality systems and procedures to ensure the quality of the work undertaken across all functions within the organisation. Management and development of the quality team in line with company requirements. Main Duties/Responsibilities · Control, monitor and maintain the company performance in line with regulatory compliance (EASA Part 21 & 145, FAR145, CASE, CCAR) and International Standards. (ISO 9001, AS 9100, TickIT) · Release of product in accordance with regulatory, customer and company requirements in a timely manner. · Implement and control internal audit programme and identify areas for improvement. · Monitor, manage corrective action for all incidents. (complaints, returns, defects) · Manage third party and customer audits and resulting corrective action. · Define and deliver training as appropriate throughout the company. · Maintain, review and action as appropriate quality metrics as defined by the company. · Performance manage the team through appraisals and other management tools such as disciplinary ign off purchase orders in line with the financial guidelines · Responsible for recruitment, performance management and discipline. · Recommendations for Quality spend. · Take responsibility for understanding the Business Management System and how it is applied to the role. Candidates must have a full portfolio of problem solving and root cause analysis techniques, good presentation and communication skills to groups of around 10 people, knowledge of regulatory requirements EASA Part 21, EASA Part 145 and FAR145 as well as knowledge of International Standards AS9100 and ISO9001. The Group Quality Manager will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working in a management role within a manufacturing environment in addition to experience of the Aerospace industry. You will be happy managing personnel and dealing with staff performance issues and have experience of coaching and mentoring. You will have been working within a "Lean" environment and have an understanding of soldering techniques.
