Group Finance Accountant

Our client, a leading financial services corporation based in the City of London, have a new requirement for a Group Financial Accountant to join their team.

Role Description:
This role primarily supports the Group Senior Accountant in the preparation of the clients consolidated financial statements, financial market announcements and other reporting deliverables which may be required from time to time. The role encompasses general financial reporting with emphasis on the accounting, consolidation and reporting of the clients financial investments. The key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the reporting of financial investments in the clients UK and US Half Year and Full Year financial statement filings and quarterly Interim Management Statements.

Key requirements:
*Knowledge of IFRS a pre-requisite, particularly as regards financial investments
*Financial services experience with exposure to investment is a requirement, life insurance experience is an advantage
*Intermediate or above level experience with MS Excel
*Experience of complex consolidations (HFM experience as advantage)
*Close attention to detail and accuracy
*Organised self-starter able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
