Graphics Validation Technician

GRAPHICS VALIDATION TECHNICIAN SANTA CLARA, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

In this position, you will be responsible for validation of client Graphics Drivers.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Assembling modern PC systems (motherboards, CPU, south bridge, SATA disk)
- Installing and configuring Mac OS X operating systems
- Building and installing graphics drivers on various OSes (Windows, Mac OS X)
- Executing OpenGL games and applications, record failures (corruption, hangs)
- Filing issues into bug tracking system
- Recommending new validation coverage to validation engineers
- Generating daily and weekly validation report
- Performing research for latest popular games/applications and updating existing validation suite
- Administrating validation system (adding new test nodes, troubleshooting problematic systems)
- Creating automation script to improve execution efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Passion about 3D games and performance benchmarks
- Experienced user of Mac OS X (finder, terminal, ssh etc.)
- Experience with bug tracking systems (bugzilla, redmine or others)
- Capability of simple Shell Scripting
- Proficiency in office software like spreadsheet, words etc
- Solid working knowledge of modern PC architecture(CPU, Bridges, SATA, USB)
- Software validation knowledge/experience a plus
- OpenGL graphics knowledge/background
- Self-starter and great team player with ability to perform with minimum guidance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills an added advantage
- New graduates with Bachelor's degree in computer science encouraged to apply
