JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer

THE COMPANY: Our client the Welsh Conservative Party are looking to appoint a Graphic Designer based in their Cardiff office to play a key role in the 2016 Welsh Assembly election campaign.

THE ROLE: The Graphic Designer position based in Cardiff is a fixed term role to 6 May 2016.

Key Responsibilities of the Graphic Designer role to include:-

● Producing high quality bespoke literature as and when required in line with Party branding.

● Estimating the time required to complete work to allow for work prioritisation and scheduling.

● Ensuring budgets and deadlines are worked to, as agreed.

● Discussing clients' objectives and requirements of the job, developing a concept to suit their needs.

● Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.

● Proof reading to produce accurate and high-quality work.

● Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.

● Ensuring the quality of work produced contributes effectively to that of the goals within the Welsh Conservative Party.

The successful Graphic Designer candidate will ideally:

Be educated to degree level or equivalent - ideally in a design or graphics discipline, post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline are a plus too.

Have an exceptional design aesthetic, enabling you to produce work that displays fresh styles and techniques for every project.

Demonstrate expert proficiency with InDesign, Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, as well being able to use other presentation programs (Powerpoint, Word etc).

Understand the technical possibilities and limitations of print based media/literature.
