Graphic Designer

Our client is a leader in cloud computing seeking a talented Visual Designer to join a small design team to work on visual design for their high-visibility website.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating multiplatform visuals while striking a balance between creative designs and business deliverables. The candidate should be able to problem solve and work independently in an atmosphere of rapid development. Highly effective communication with business and technical stakeholders, time management and the ability to incorporate constructive feedback into projects will be required for this individual to succeed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create graphical concepts and treatments as appropriate to client website.
- Develop and strengthen web assets, including style and usage guides, and collaborate with the design community to ensure consistent use.
- Use marketing and business requirements to assist in developing compelling designs.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Present work to design, marketing and business stakeholders for review and feedback.
- Develop and maintain detailed design templates and specifications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years' experience in designing for web
- Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent professional experience
- Portfolio or samples of work demonstrating skills and approach to user-centered design as well as fluency in best practices
- Experience with a variety of design and optimization tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks
- Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, CSS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- B2B design experience
- Experience defining or maintaining design style guide

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
