Graphic Design - Co-Op/Intern Job

GRAPHIC DESIGN CO-OP/INTERN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity for Yoh's client in Norristown, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Creative Services Department is responsible for supporting strategic business objectives through creative communications. The team is responsible for the visual integrity of the brand and continues to extend it.
- Plan, create and design a wide variety of graphic materials that satisfy the needs of customers. These materials may be printed or electronic form and may include brochures, newsletters, trade show displays and corporate identification marks.
- Manages the brand through all forms of internal and external communication including print, web, video and multimedia.
- Supports requests for communicating complex ideas through visuals.
- Produce exceptional quality, original and innovative solutions that effectively integrate/reflect key messages.
- Supports and plans employee meetings and events, including but not limited to: posters, collateral, corporate gifts and photography of events.
- Responsible for look and feel of websites, including info-graphics, icons, photos, illustrations and navigational graphics.
- Assist with changes to website and email newsletters.
- Produce internal signage/posters geared to employees.
- Provide creative solutions on a variety of projects in several applications including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Create PowerPoint's to follow official company template and branding.
- Support and planning of employee events including all-employee meetings and other events. Photograph events and ceremonies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Graphic design, communication design or design- related major
- Experience with design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or like programs (Mac and PC)
- Good communication and strong customer service skills.
- Ideal candidate is detail oriented, creative in problem solving and able to work independently.
- Required - completion of courses in print design.
- A solid understanding of typography, color, composition, hierarchy and how these elements work together to design solutions - and the differences between designing for print vs. web.
- Ability to manage time in a steady workflow of complex, multi-function projects within the creative team.
- Meet with designers, technical staff and internal clients on projects and collaborate on technical specifications and deadlines.
- Extremely detail oriented, well-organized and self- motivated in order to meet customer demands and deadlines.
