GRAILS/GROOVY DEVELOPER

Have you Grails experience or Java and Groovy experience? If so Vantage Resources in Dublin would like to hear from you!

We are looking for a first rate Groovy programmer to work on a new project implementation. This is a 3 month assignment in Dublin with potential for renewal. Ideally you will have solid commercial experience of web development in Java with recent exposure to Grails or just Groovy itself.

JAVA/JAVA GRAILS DEVELOPER - RESPONSIBILITIES/ROLE REQUIREMENTS

- Front End web development using Groovy/Grails/JQuery.
- Expertise in best practices for web application development using MVC, action based (push) web frameworks (Grails/Rails).
- Experience and knowledge of the Grails ORM, Hibernate.
- Experience working in a continuous integration development environment with automated build, unit and integration tests
- Knowledge of Web services design, development and delivery using XML/XSLT/XSD/WSDL
- Build and Unit Test of new modules and interfaces.
- Release Management in compliance with the DAFM IMT operations code deployment standards.
- Any other tasks which are considered by the Department to be appropriate to the role.
- Knowledge, understanding of and the use of an OOAD methodology.
- English Language both spoken and written.
- Self starter with good problem determination skills.
- Working effectively within a team and good communication skills.
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines.
- Proven track record in providing skills transfer/mentoring.
