Located close to the town centre of Rochdale, the Head teacher of a mixed two form-entry Primary School is looking for a talented Teaching Assistant to start after half term. Due to the increase in pupil premium and the high expectations in School this role will involve working across both key stages, holding Literacy and Numeracy intervention sessions with targeted pupils.

The ideal candidate for this roll will have:

**A strong academic background
**1st or 2nd class degree or similar
**Teaching Assistant experience
**A confident and outgoing personality
**A passion for education and working with children.

This is a larger than average sized Primary School with around 300 pupils on roll. The School has a higher than average number of pupils who are eligible for free school meals and those who speak English as an additional language is also much higher than the national average. Ideally you will have teaching assistant experience with EAL students and the ability to inspire young pupils with barriers to learning.

For this teaching assistant role, you will support pupils on an individual 1:1 and small group basis, holding intervention sessions with learners who are falling behind their personal expectations in both Literacy and Numeracy. Any candidates with previous experience in a similar role do not hesitate to apply for this position.

The School has a friendly atmosphere and a passionate team of staff, who are held in high regard by pupils. The Head teacher is extremely supportive towards teaching and support staff and is ideally looking for somebody who can work independently and make an impact before their teacher training begins.
