Graduate Specifications Technologist (12 Month FTC)

Our FMCG client based in the Huntingdon area is looking for a Graduate specifications Technologist on a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover for a period of maternity. Ideally you will have a Food related degree but our client will look at other graduates. The role is to liaise with suppliers and retailer customers to develop and modify product specifications ensuring that they meet with the specified legal and customer requirements.

Job Role:- - To work alongside suppliers to develop and assess product specifications ensuring that they meet with the specified legal requirements.
- To ensure that raw material specifications are kept on site for controlled ingredients and to ensure they are updated in-line with the specification review program.
- To contribute to the business Quality Management System
- To create and maintain Technical Product Folders for all lines supplied
- To create and maintain product attribute sheets as required by the customer, including taking photographs and ensuring a traffic light system for each product is maintained and agreed with the relevant Technical Manager and customer
- To assist with the compilation of supplier information for KPI reporting
- To provide support to colleagues within the Technical Department, including but not limited to:

Packaging and sending samples on behalf of the Technical Manager and NPD Manager to customers suppliers and for analysis

Support the Technical Manager in preparation for SCAMR's, Consistency Panels and other customer sampling session, through the collection of samples and completion of paperwork.

To be considered for this role you will be available to start work in September 2014 for a period of 12 months. Interviews to happen ASAP.
