JOB DESCRIPTION:

You'll be working as a graduate software engineer as part of an experienced and successful IT development team.

This is not the Orange graduate scheme, instead it's very much a role with focus on real world technology, real products and delivery to market.

After an initial induction period you'll be assigned a mentor and included as part of a development project. Projects vary but are all team based and focus around internet and media related technologies. A typical project duration is 3-6 months and is an in-house end to end delivery (from visual design, through infrastructure, databases, APIs, front end and project management)

You'll be using the very latest software development frameworks and tools whilst working in a cloud based environment in order to produce high quality, high availability solutions. You will learn to work using an agile scrum process and use techniques such as Test Driven Development, Version Control and Continuous Integration.

We'll also supply you with a brand new development laptop (choice between a Lenovo or Macbook Pro) and a 27 monitor.

YOU:

Orange Digital are looking for smart and curious graduates who are excited to learn and implement new technologies and deliver solutions to problems. The ideal candidate is comfortable talking and presenting within a cross skilled team and enjoys socialising and having fun.

Familiarity with linux and internet technologies would be a great bonus, but being able to demonstrate an aptitude towards learning, problem solving and delivering software solutions is the most important thing to us.

We require that you are eligible to work in the UK.

US:

This role is a 1 year fixed term contract with a view to making the position permanent at the end of the contract. Last year 100% of our graduate intake took permanent roles.

There is opportunity to progress through the ranks for those that demonstrate the skill and aptitude for this role. Success is always fairly rewarded.
