Graduate Derivatives/Brokerage Finance Operator: Energy Trading

GRADUATE DERIVATIVES/BROKERAGE FINANCE OPERATOR: ENERGY TRADING

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Derivatives/Brokerage Finance Operator to work in this fast-paced and dynamic team.

This is an excellent opportunity to prove yourself in an Oil and Gas Supermajor, with brilliant networking opportunities.

- Monitor, reconcile and settle all brokerage payments relating to OTC swaps and options
- Assist with any ad-hoc departmental work and also daily posting of collateral margin calls.
- Daily liaising with traders, operators and brokers to ensure reconciliation between the trading systems (DEX/Endur) and the counterparties.
- Ensure all swaps and options brokerage is correctly settled in the relevant trading system and processed into the finance system (SAP) on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- The role may also involve getting involved in departmental projects and testing when new deal types etc are entered into.
- Assist with the daily posting of collateral margin calls into the trading system as and when they are agreed with the counterparty by our credit department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Relevant Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Customer and delivery focused
- Strong IT skills (in particular Excel)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
