GRA Advisor

For a big client of ours we are looking for a senior governance, risk and assurance advisor to work in The Hague. The contract is for 6 months.

Experience
* Possess Degree in Finance, with ACCA/CIMA qualifications or relevant Business degree;

* A sound understanding of risk management standard and its application to support business focus and delivery of efficient/effective financial/business controls;
* The ability to achieve results through influencing and motivating others to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organisations;
* Broad business knowledge in order to understand/handle issues across wide and different business areas;
* Able to work independently, a self-starter
* Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills;
* Working experience in audit (internal or external) experience will be highly advantageous;
* Behaviours expected are Demonstrates Courage, Leadership Skills & Interpersonal Effectiveness and High Ethical Standards & Personal Integrity.

Special challenges
1. Ability to work & communicate with senior management to cover the agreed BU and SME topic areas. Ability to assess gaps in the design and operation of a robust risk-based management control environment in evolving organizational set-up following the organizational re-alignment. Also effective challenge to status quo or management to ensure compliance & standards

2. External expectations relating to the effectiveness and transparency of governance have been increasing over time. Therefore, the role requires a sound understanding of governance, risk and assurance and ability to assess business positions and risks to react quickly & effectively.

3. Ability to lead and to communicate effectively with various departments in the BUs as well as with global GRA Network and GRA SMEs and managing the challenges that come with virtual working relationships.

4. To understand P&T finance and business processes to enable effective and critical review of controls
