Governance Manager/procedures, code of conduct, not for profit, public sector

London/£150 - £250 per day (9 month contract)

My client, a forward thinking and dynamic organisation that is rapidly becoming a thought leader in its field, is looking to recruit a Governance Manager to pro/actively support the UK Debt Advice and Corporate Services Director on all company secretary and corporate governance issues.

The post holder will be tasked with proactively managing and preparing Board, Sub Committee and Executive Leadership level meetings including the production of agendas and arranging for the dispatch of Board and Subcommittee papers. They will also be responsible for providing a quality assurance process for all papers and agenda items. This aspect of the role may require training others and providing guidance on acceptance criteria.

It is essential that the successful candidate possesses the following experience:
Deep understanding of corporate governance management appropriate for a small public sector organisation (desirable for the post holder to be full or part ICSA qualified)
Ability to manage stakeholders and build effective relationships at all levels and strong influencing skills.
Experience of complaints management or similar formal resolution process.
Extensive and varied high level administrative expertise, often dealing with confidential material.
Strong chairing and meeting management and facilitation skills.
Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing, with specific expertise in agenda preparation, minute taking and report writing.
