Global Leadership Development Manager - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Daily Rate

A leading Energy and Utilities client of Hyphen is looking for a Global Leadership Development Manager to join a large recruitment drive within their L&D structure.

Job Purpose:- Working for the Global Head of Leadership Development, provide input to and oversee the deployment of a global leadership development strategy which will enable the future success of the business by ensuring we have the right mix of leaders with the right skills and behaviours aligned to our strategic workforce planning, I and D and talent requirements.

Key Accountabilities:-

*Drawing on the close working relationships the team has with the HRBP teams, work with your team of Development and Delivery Specialists to provide input to the global leadership development strategy. Provide the vision for your team to then turn that strategy into a 3 year roadmap of activity ensuring they have a clear view of the in year deliverables. Work with the team to create stretching and specific objectives to deliver against the plan.
*Taking strategic direction from the Global Head of Leadership Development and working closely with subject matter experts in the business, ensure we are clearly defining and building the capabilities, business skills and behaviours required by the business to be successful today and in the future.
*Build a strong network with peers from other large organisations and scan the external market for best practice against which we can benchmark our own frameworks, programmes and approaches in an effort to continuously improve the way we develop our leaders in National Grid
*Building on work already undertaken to date, finalise the National Grid leadership framework which clearly defines levels of leadership, the expectations we have of our leaders as well as offering core programmes across each leadership level to support their development.
*Undertake a full review of existing leadership programmes and development offerings within National Grid. Create a more integrated and holistic approach to leadership development and refresh/rebuild core programmes that enable our leaders to reach their full potential at each level of leadership.
*Create development interventions that support the transitions of leaders into new roles or between levels to maximise their performance in the short to medium term.
*Work with key educational institutions and third party providers to optimise the blend of internal and external leadership development opportunities within the Academy
*Continue to build, engage and performance manage our pool of associate development and delivery specialists
*Take a lead in key contract negotiations with large third party providers and ensure the team is robustly performance managing all providers and undertaking fuller quarterly performance reviews with these vendors.
*Lead a team of development and delivery specialists to ensure we are building programmes and interventions that enable our leaders to be the best they can. Ensure there is a blended learning approach and work to provide options under both the 70% and 20% learning methodologies by building communities of practice, networks and coaching capability across our leadership population.
*Create and lead a robust evaluation process to assure the effectiveness of these programmes and to inform continuous improvement opportunities
*Work with the team to build a cadre of leaders as teachers across the organisation to build capability and to encourage visible senior advocacy of leadership development
Take the lead on the ongoing review, refresh and enhancement of our Leadership Framework, Core Capabilities, Business Skills and Leadership Qualities and seek ongoing feedback from key stakeholders to ensure these remain aligned to our business context and fit for purpose. Embed these capabilities, skills and behaviours into key HR processes across the employee life cycle
*With guidance from the Global Head of Leadership Development, work with the Global Process and Performance Data and Analytics team to inform the leadership data requirements, specific metrics and benchmarks to enable the development of meaningful insights around the leadership agenda and share
