Global IT Manager

Our client is looking for a Global IT Manager, who will play a key role within the company in driving our business forward. Working with colleagues in our DevOps, HR and Customer Success teams, the Global IT Manager will refine and implement the IT strategy. The Global IT Manager will also provide strategic technology guidance on IT systems in use globally and act as subject matter expert for third party assessments, both for vendors and prospective customers.

The Global IT Manager will execute the IT strategy, IT operating model, support business case creation/validation for new systems acquisition/development, manage the implementation (planning, risk/issue management, scoping, program budget management, stakeholder communication, status reporting etc.) through the entire life cycle including post-implementation benefits tracking.


* 5 years' experience working in information technology as a manager and/or team leader

* Ideally, previous experience of working in a high-growth software/SaaS company

* Conversant with ISO 27001 information security standard

* Experience working with Office 365/SharePoint

* Excellent influencing and communication skills (both written and oral), and the ability to influence and challenge senior management

* An in-depth understanding of current and emerging IT Security risks and strategies and how they impact on cloud based organisations

* Organizational skills sufficient to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities

* Strong personal discipline and effective time management.

* An advanced understanding of information security concepts

* IT qualifications (ITIL, Prince2, ..)

* Hands-on operational IT experience, including deploying and configuring IT hardware and software

* Fluent English mandatory


Develop and ensure that the companies global IT function is consistent with industry best practice, is timely and effective, and promotes each person's responsibilities regarding IT. Ensure that all the companies stakeholders understand and are aware of the IT strategy. Provide strategic guidance, training and input to the enterprise wide IT strategy to ensure that it is reflective of industry best practice and the companies business requirements.

* Take a strategic view of our IT systems and how they should evolve to meet the needs of our business as we grow globally

* Be a value-adding business partner, looking for ways to streamline our business through better use of IT

* Develop and mature IT support processes to ensure the best possible service to the business

* Build and foster a collaborative and customer focused culture to improve the delivery and quality of IT services, as part of our ongoing transformation journey

* Lead, manage and motivate the IT Support team. Encouraging personal development, creating personal development plans and having regular team and one to one meetings

* Participate in all stages of IT projects, including requirements analysis, research, design, implementation/development, deployment, service operations, stakeholder management and risk and issue management

* Provide technical solutions and design recommendations based on best practices

* Assist in the management and classification of information and IT systems within the company to ensure adherence to external client or regulatory requirements

* Manage hardware and software upgrade/renewal/patching policies

* Establish and manage policies for mobile device management, including bring your own device

* Manage and coordinate IT support issues, including IT incidents, in line with the escalations process and incident management process

* Provide data and reporting of KPI's and trends to internal customers and stakeholders

* Ensure cross training within the IT Support function and into the Service Desk to enable higher first-time fix of known and repeated incidents and requests.

* Incident management, root cause analysis and process/procedure improvement recommendations

* Operation of all IT-related process, policy and procedure documentation
