GIS/MAPPING FIELD SURVEYORS (EAST ANGLIA)

My client is currently seeking a GIS/MAPPING FIELD SURVEYOR to work in the East Anglia region. It's essential that you live locally to this area.

The role is an initial 6 month contract paying £14 per hr working a 40 hr week. The role is an 80/20 split with regards to field and office based work (80% being in the field).

You will be out in the field manually surveying a mixture of construction, building and utilities sites. You will then need to work in the office to draw out the surveys onto a map format that will then be used as part of a job pack to be sent to the digitising teams.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Ensure work packs are completed correctly
-

Undertaking regular site visits to ensure the packs are a true reflection of the site.

Produce survey drawings outlining work and sending onto data capture teams

The client is looking to consider candidates who have a GIS or SURVEYING background. You must be comfortable working with maps and have a good eye for detail and take pride in being accurate. Good MS OFFICE skills and communication skills are a must also. You must be able to manage your time effectively and be comfortable working to deadlines.

You must have your own car to travel to sites. A fuel allowance will be paid on top of the hourly rate.
