GIS IT Support

For a big international client of us in The Hague we are looking for a GIS application supporter. In the department where you'll be working in, the Subsurface Application Services team delivers on GeoSigns specific Back End services which are provided by a virtual team located in the Netherlands, USA and Bangalore. We're looking for candidates to strengthen the team covering operational support, service improvements and technical project lead related activities.

What your main tasks will be:

- Provide 2nd line operational support, with focus on day to day incident management related to Shell proprietary applications that are heavily reliant on GIS technologies
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical application issues: application access, recovery and tuning
- End-to-end monitoring and problem management across all technical areas
- Act as interface between our customers and various infrastructure support groups providing operating system and storage/network support
- Work very closely with the customer to provide guidance in the effective use of the systems, products and services in scope
