Projektbeschreibung
The contract is with a consultancy to be on an assignment at a large European site in Stockholm as follows:- Tasks and Deliverables by the Consultant
The consultant shall be requested to perform various tasks related to the projects, products, applications and services developed in the CLIENT'S EPM Section. The consultant will be integrated in the GIS team. He (she) will carry out tasks based on internal procedures and standards, GIS development policies and procedures regarding technology, workflows and methodologies. During the complete cycle of his/her assignment the GIS team will have a complete access to the consultant work files (source code).
The tasks will mainly include:
a. Contribute to system development and update the in-house Enterprise GIS.
b. Successfully and in collaboration with the in-house GIS development resources undertake the software development tasks assigned to him/her, that are part of the broader GIS software development activities.
Educational and experience
1) University degree with minimum 4 years experience in IT, or non-University degree with minimum 6 years experience in IT
2) Strong knowledge of the following standards: Web Feature Services (WFS), Web Map Services (WMS), Shapefile
3) Excellent knowledge of ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Server 10
4) Experience in software architecture design, implementation and systems integration
5) Proven experience in developing Enterprise GIS solutions
6) Experience with SharePoint (MOSS 2010) and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
7) Experience in agile development methods, including Test Driven Development
8) Strong knowledge of data classification/summarisation algorithms for GIS and their implementations
Required proficiency in information technologies
1) Programming in .NET Framework 3.5 (VB.NET, JavaScript, ASP.NET, EF) and Microsoft SQL Server
2) Extensive experience in developing SOAP/REST web services
Competences and skills
1) Familiarity with the EU INSPIRE directive
2) Technical documentation writing
3) Very good command of English, oral and written
