I have an urgent vacancy for a GIS Developer to work for an extremely prestigious client in Belgium.
No people with Google Map experience but have the knowledge to work with programs like LuciadMap. Knowledge of Java is necessary and experience with Java Swing development is a plus. Candidates will be crunching radardata.
Profile
Software development activities for the map components
Bug fixing activities
Maintenance of the map design documentation
The person selected will mainly develop services and probably be called to participate to its further evolution. Development is here intended not only as pure software implementation but it includes activities such as production of technical notes, implementation of unit tests, and refactoring.
Requirements
Design, development and maintenance of the CHMI and Portal map applications.
On-call support for about 3-4 weeks a year during the applications migration.
Development and maintenance of unit tests for the map components.
Prototyping of new architecture or features.
Skills
Experience in Object Oriented Analysis, design and programming
Experience with swing is very important
Solid experience with Java and JavaScript knowledge
Experience in design and development of optimized Java code, performance tuning, multithreaded applications and memory management
Very good mathematical skills
Experience in Application Server Weblogic or similar
Experience with open source tools based on Java, Web 2.0 technologies, Eclipse
Experience with code generation
Experience in the mission critical application development.
Experience in unit testing
Experience in map libraries such as Luciad Map (Luciad Lightspeed) and Luciad RIA
Languages
English
French (Beneficial)
