The Role..

To provide technical development support to all ESRI based GIS Web Mapping Projects within the Landmark Solutions business unit. This will involve application development work, mapping application design and publication, data model development.

Main Tasks include:

- Developing using JavaScript and the standard JS libraries - Dojo/JQuery
- Primarily Development of web mapping applications using .Net C#
- Develop using CSS/HTML
- Experience with developing web mapping applications using Java J2EE, Servlets, Ajax
- Incremental development experience (e.g. agile)
- Usage and understanding of XMLXSD

We are looking for someone with practical work experience using ESRI GIS desktop and Server software (strong understanding of spatial data and formats, map projections & coordinate systems, geo-processing, Geodatabase) the following systems:

- ESRI ArcGIS Server (understanding of Web mapping basics, publication, service security and Geoprocessing deployments)
- ESRI ArcGIS Server ( application development - using the JavaScript, SilverLight, Flex, .Net APIs)
- ESRI Python Scripting and ArcObjects SDK
- knowledge of ArcSDE)
- Net Programming (with C#, .Net)
- Current Visual Studio IDE (C#, .Net, JavaScript, etc.)
- Windows OS usage (XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008)

It is essential that you have CSS/HTML experience and experience implementing web services (e.g. REST). Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop (GIS process modelling, cartography, data management, and publishing) and Redhat Linux Server would be desirable, but not essential.
