GIS Analyst

Triad Resourcing is currently recruiting a GIS Analyst for a high profile client in Dublin. We're looking to appoint sometime in February. Interviews can be held in the UK. The contract will be initially 6 months with a very strong potential to either extend or be made into a more permanent role.

Role Summary:
The applicant will carry out core GIS tasks such as; data preparation, data collection, data analysis and output. Where applicable, responsibilities may include liaising with external organisations to ensure effective import and export of information.

The applicant will join an existing GIS team, The applicant will be able to start running with the role immediately, requiring minimal supervision from the client, utilising their knowledge of the required technologies to accomplish the desired tasks.

Role Requirements:
At least 3 years GIS Experience
In excess of 2 years of industry experience working with ESRI technology
A 3rd level qualification eg degree/HND or equivalent in a subject which included a significant element of GIS

Characteristics of this resource will include:
The understanding of the clients GIS technology platform including ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS at current revision level;
Experience of the configuration and deployment of GIS software, in particular the ESRIproduct suite;
General application of GIS technology and data;
Knowledge of cartography and map representation;
Design, implementation, test and commissioning of Web Services using ESRI ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS online;
Knowledge of and use of Virtual Machines/Servers;
Knowledge and experience of relational database products and their application to GIS solutions;
Implementation of spatial databases using GeoDatabase schema methods;
Encouraging the use and integration of GIS in daily work practices;
Skills transfer and training;
On-site problem solving and development;
A clear understanding of the requirements of the EU INSPIRE Directive reporting;
Experience of completing tasks to achieve time, cost and quality targets

The GIS Analyst must have:

ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 10 and 10.1
SQL Server 2008
Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010
OGC CSW, WMS and WFS, WMTS standards
Database (RDBMS and SQL knowledge)
GIS (ESRI products, GIS concepts)
Windows 2008 Servers (Virtual and Physical)

Enterprise Geodatabases
PythonModel Builder
INSPIRE Standards and services (Optional)
