GIS Analyst

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for several GIS Analysts/Designers in Trenton, NJ and Elizabeth, NJ. These are 2 year contract assignments and you need 3-7+ years of relevant experience. You must have proven experience with different ESRI GIS software products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Working within a project team to design, build, test, rollout and support enhancements to the Geographic Information System
- Working with various Utility systems data and incorporating them into the GIS model
- Perform quality assurance checks on the Utility landbase in accordance with scheduled releases
- Perform quality assurance checks on the periodic loading of Work Management facility inspection data
- Create, update, and publish Delivery asset reports
- Extract GIS data and supply to various 3rd part vendors for inspection programs
- Creating and publishing various output products including maps and stored displays
- Create ad-hoc maps and studies as needed and create test plans & perform system testing

REQUIREMENTS

- You need 3-7 years of experience as a GIS Analyst
- You need to be local to the Elizabeth or Trenton, NJ areas or in a commutable distance
- Bachelors in Geography, GIS, Cartography, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2 to 3 years experience with ESRI software products
- Strong knowledge of MS Access with the ability to create new databases and maintain existing databases
- General knowledge of Crystal Reports, OMS, SAP, and CAD would be a PLUS
- Some SQL Coding and Server experience is needed
- Knowledge of SharePoint 2007 would be a PLUS
