German Localization Tester

Our client is a SUPER HIGH-VISIBILITY COMPUTER MANUFACTURING COMPANY seeking a Tester to provide LOCALIZATION SOFTWARE VALIDATION in the GERMAN LANGUAGE in various PC platforms and components; plus logging, fixing, and tracking defects to closure.

TELECOMMUTING IS AN OPTION FOR THIS POSITION.

OVERVIEW:

- Fluency in English as well as fluency in German (must be able to speak, read, and write)
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Effectiveness in multitasking over simultaneous problem areas and/or assignments
- Good team player with ability to work well with peers and seniors from various disciplines, employs good team practices
- Software validation engineering skills
- Coding and debugging skills
- Linux OS use, development and internals understanding
- Validation Plan documentation authoring
- Test cases development
- Test plan development
- Test applications development
- Localization validation experience
- Hardware experience
- Networking Configuration experience
- Software experience
- Lab management experience
- Understanding of automation and how to apply where possible

NICE TO HAVE:

- Knowledge on Perforce
- Technical experience in Computer Architecture, Operating System, software development process
- Software Validation Lifecycle experience
