Geotechnical Engineer - FIFO or Residential

This leading high-grade underground metalliferrous mine require an experienced geotechnical engineer to ensure that all underground activities are effectively coordinated with other relevant departments ensuring the quality and safety of the mine is maintained at the highest standards

You will be responsible for planning and mapping the geological complexities of the operation whilst providing tech support to the engineering department.

Key accountabilities will include the implementation of Geotechnical Standards and Procedures, providing geotechnical input into mine design, production sequencing, stope design and maintaining development ground control standards amongst other duties.

To be successful for this position you must possess the following:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering
- 1+ years underground Geotechnical Engineering experience
- Understanding underground geological structures
- Geotechnical data assessment and auditing experience
- Geotechnical Mapping and Planning
- Excellent Communication skills
- Knowledge of Surpac software
