To support the Engineering team during the development of onshore renewable & generation projects, providing input into the design of all Geotechnical aspects of those projects, as well as providing Geotechnical advice to the Civil Design team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Project Teams, responsible for developing and delivering Geotechnical engineering solutions for construction of the aforementioned projects. Providing engineering support, including the necessary basic and detailed engineering specifications and designs for projects, innovation, effective technical and site works support, advice and input throughout the life cycle of a portfolio of projects.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE desk studies, scoping works, procuring contractors, preparation of contract and technical specification in accordance with BS 5930 (amendment 2) and Eurocode 7, site supervision, logging of soil and rock BS EN ISO 14688-1, 14688-2 and 14689-1, scheduling of chemical and geotechnical testing to BS1377 and preparation of interpretative reports.
- Good inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses.
- Ability to implement, apply and promote CDM and Health & Safety best practice in a design environment.
- Ability to represent departments or project teams regarding geotechnical engineering issues, decisions, standards or industry best practice.
