**geophysical Advisor - E&P Co. in Houston, TX**

Due to an aggressive exploration growth strategy in the Gulf of Mexico, Progressive Global Energy have been tasked with finding a Geophysical Advisor/Sr. Geophysical Advisor for this Houston-based subsidiary of a National Oil Company.

Working with a cross-discipline team, the following responsibilities include:

* Evaluating 2D and 3D seismic volumes and assess data quality through reprocessing and QC
* Work with seismic attributes/analysis such as AVO, stacking, depth conversion and processing, and velocity analysis
* Map prospects (i.e. with Petra) and provide geological expertise in the maturation of prospects within existing portfolios
* Estimating hydrocarbon resource size in generated prospects as well as performing related risk assessments
* Direct post-drilling analysis of exploration wells

Below is a list of key experience/qualifications the successful candidate must have:

* BS in Geology or Geophysics, MS is a plus
* 15+ years experience in hydrocarbon exploration with Oil companies
* 10+ years recent experience in prospect generation/regional mapping in the deep water Gulf of Mexico
* Strong interpretation skills (subsalt, seismic attributes, etc. Paradigm software is a plus)
