Geo-Spatial Developer Job

GEO-SPATIAL DEVELOPER needed for a long term CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, MO.

TOP SKILLS:

- ArcGIS desktop, ESRI Server, Boundless, or QGIS
- REST style APIs that consume and serve up geospatial data
- JavaScript client libraries for interactive web based geospatial content
- SON, GeoJSON and similar data structures
- Google Maps, MapQuest, Bing or similar API providers

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Developing APIs for geospatial analysis and presentation
- Developing stimulating web clients presenting global data in a spatial, compelling, and interactive way.
- Utilizing geospatial services to answer specific business questions such as spatial interactions, nearest neighbor, straight line and routed distance, and geofencing
- Documenting how-to guides and working with development teams for optimum population of geospatial transactional information and usage of spatial repositories

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Extensive experience developing with JavaScript client libraries for interactive web based geospatial content
- Experience developing REST style APIs that consume and serve up geospatial data with JSON, GeoJSON and similar data structures
- Extensive experience with enterprise geospatial systems such as ESRI
- Experience processing, storing, and querying vector and raster layers
- Experience writing Python functions utilized in ArcGIS desktop, ESRI Server, Boundless, or QGIS
- Experience with code versioning and dependency management systems such as Git, SVT, and Maven
- Desirable:
- Experience with geospatial processing in a MapReduce environment such as Hadoop
- AWS or other cloud based platforms (Cloud Foundry, Docker)
- Experience utilizing Google Maps, MapQuest, Bing or similar API providers
- Experience developing and deploying custom JavaScript applications and templates to ESRI ArcGIS Online
- Previous experience with soils, meteorology, hydrology or similar sciences
