A well respected NHS client in the Surrey area are looking for an interim General Manager to join their Cancer Services team.

Essential Experience
*3-5 years' experience at senior management level
*Highly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and experience in the Operations Management
*Staff and project team selection, management and motivation
*Knowledge of the EAT target and the effects this can have on 18 Weeks
*18 Week National Policy.
*Experience of working with 18 Week initiative
*Be able to receive, negotiate and communicate complex, sensitive information where priority and certainty are at issue
*Authoritative and credible delivery of information at senior/executive level
*Ability to interpret waiting list policy and cascade knowledge effectively to all staff
*Able to provide interpretation and guidance to the Trust based on DOH guidelines and IST suggestions.

Desirable Experience
*Member of a clinical and/or management professional body
*3-5 years in project management, implementation of NHS strategy
*Excellent change management skills
*Understanding of Process Redesign and Process Improvement techniques and approaches
*Managing multiple projects using PRINCE
*An appreciation of the cultural, organisational, professional and technical changes that will impact on future developments
*Ability to travel for meetings between hospital sites
