General Ledger Accountant

A General Ledger Controlling Accountant is required for a six month interim assignment based in Hampshire.

The successful candidate will become a cohesive member of the Ledger Control team, reporting into the Financial Controller. The purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth transition of various European entities into one shared service centre. Key responsibilities will be to collate and consolidate month end results, balance sheet reconciliations and audit support; you should also be ready and willing to provide general ad-hoc support to the General Ledger team.

The successful candidate will be degree educated and a part or post qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA), with exposure to US GAAP and system experience with SAP and Hyperion. You will need to be a driven and committed accountant who will take ownership of accounting issues regarding the transition, whilst being able to manage conflict demands. Strong communication skills are also a highly required skill as you will be the first point of contact for the local accounting managers.
