GASPER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

We have an opportunity for a GASPER SUPPORT SPECIALIST with strong experience of 2nd line support and ideally a background with ATM networks and Gasper. The initial contract is until the end of December 2015 and is working for a leading Financial Services organisation based in Buckinghamshire.

ROLE SUMMARY

To assist and oversee the technical and operational administration of the Gasper Vantage system.

Act as the chief point of contact for NCR Corporation's support and professional services consultants.

Liaise with the Business and Service Desk operations departments to ensure that changes to operational and business processes are reflected in the Gasper Vantage system for both ADH and PDH Host systems.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

INITIATING AND SCHEDULING MOVE ADD CHANGE (MAC) PROCESS -responsible for developing, implementing and managing a Move Add Change process to ensure that all parties are made aware of database changes, and when they are scheduled to occur.

DAILY TICKET EDITING AND UPDATING - will be responsible for reviewing, updating and escalating daily events and tickets through the Vantage Workstation.

ENVIRONMENTAL SECURITY - will be responsible for defining and implementing the security process for its environment including LAN and WAN.

STATUS CODE UPDATES - will be responsible for all updates to the status code tables. The Gasper Vantage System Administrator will also have knowledge of every type of ATM on the ATM network or be able to thoroughly understand the technical spec provided with each type of ATM.

CHRONIC EVENT DETECTION -will be responsible for implementing, reviewing, and making recommendations to chronic thresholds.

DEFINING DAY TO DAY BUSINESS RULES -will be responsible for defining and reviewing the day-to-day business rules.

CALLING SCRIPTS -will ensure that the business rules are reflected in the Gasper Vantage system. As business rule changes are reported, they will update the calling scripts to accommodate the new rules.

CALL ANALYSIS -will ensure that the proper call analysis parameters are established and defined for all new and existing contact records.

CALLING PROTOCOLS - will ensure that the proper protocols are established and defined to new and existing contacts.

REAL TIME CONFIGURATION UPDATE - will need to configure and maintain the Gasper Vantage configuration update utilities with external databases to ensure data synchronisation.

HOLIDAY DATABASE - will update and manage the holiday tables based on the holiday schedule as defined.

GASPER VANTAGE SECURITY/LOGONS - will set-up and manage all Gasper Vantage user accounts.

VOICE RECORDINGS - will review and record any changes to the voice files as records are added and/or modified.

SOFTWARE UPGRADES/PATCHES - will be responsible for the periodic installation of new software releases or patches, to the Gasper Vantage system. This would include the installation of the new release into a test environment, completion of the agreed certification process, and the migration to production.

MIGRATION OF NEW SOFTWARE RELEASES - will be responsible for communicating issues and test results with NCR in the migration of new software releases through test and into production.

DEVELOP AND MANAGE BATCH REPORTS - will develop a batch reporting process that defines the initial batch reports and also defines a batch reporting change process for future requirements.

EXCEPTION REPORTING -will be responsible for periodic review of Gasper Vantage internal exception reports to ensure accuracy of the database and the overall Gasper Vantage system.

DATA ANALYSIS - will be responsible for analysing Gasper Vantage reports for trends by date, model, region, etc

PRODUCING IMPROMPTU PRE-DEFINED GASPER VANTAGE REPORTS -will be responsible for running any unscheduled Gasper Vantage pre-defined reports that are not set into a batch report file.

AD HOC TROUBLESHOOTING - will be responsible for working independently to troubleshoot issues with the Gasper Vantage system or in conjunction with troubleshooting activities with Gasper Vantage Support Department

DAILY MONITORING OF THE GASPER VANTAGE SYSTEM FOR SYSTEM EXCEPTIONS -will be responsible for running diagnostic reports and host message exception reports to ensure the Gasper Vantage system is working optimally and that all data elements are properly defined

ESSENTIAL:

- Extensive experience in a similar support role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An eye for detail and excellent grammar
- Experience using word processing programs and spreadsheets
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work with the minimum of supervision and on own initiative
- Ability to delegate and prioritise tasks effectively
- Able to build and maintain relationships at all levels with the business and team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to implement and manage change

DESIRABLE:

- Competent with MS Office standard applications
- Understanding of ATM network environments
- Creation of process and procedures
- Working understanding of ATM Monitoring tools (Gasper, PDH & ADH etc..)
- ATM Hardware/Software
- Windows 7
