Our client is at the forefront of developing new interactive entertainment experiences that appeal to all members of the family across all devices, led from the living room, powered by the cloud. This team is on the front lines of emerging technologies and experiences with business critical partners.
Currently this organization is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) for a hands-on role creating new motion gaming gestures, authoring in-game content, as well as, optimizing and enhancing end-to-end content and ingestion pipelines.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Create in-game gestures to recognize player movement and activities
- Facilitate content creation, mark-up and ingestion
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers to deliver new experiences, tools, and features
- Consult on a regular basis with project leadership to align expectations and deliverables
- Excel at cross-functional collaboration and leadership
- Multitask between projects and teams fluidly
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years of video game programming experience, shipping multiple titles
- Motion gaming experience
- Prior work exploring and innovating new IP, genres, and product experiences
- Experience in developing and optimizing end-to-end content ingestion tools and pipelines
- Proven software design, programming, debugging, and optimization skills in C++, C#, and Scripting languages (LUA)
- Experience using low level game engine, game Middleware, or video playback solutions
- Passion for console and motion gaming and entertainment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and drive for excellence
- Experience with live game services or the game industry a plus!
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Animation or Kinesiology background (understanding of the human skeletal system)
- Experience developing in game engines such as Unity, Unreal, and Cryengine
- Designed modular technologies to support plugin functionality, features, and content
- Proficient in ASP.NET, SQL, and Web Development tools and technologies
- Experience with TCR compliance and certification process
