FX Java Developer, Investment Bank, London, Permanent A large tier 1 investment bank are looking for an experienced Core Java Developer to sit within the Front office Futures team within Prime Services. You will be responsible for designing and implementing current and next-generation trading platforms, liaising with the business and IT, ensuring effective communication and driving delivery. This automated trading system is used across asset class, to support low latency algorithmic trading and pricing for the business areas, within which the core team, develop shared areas of the system. You must demonstrate excellent low latency, server side, multi-threaded core java skills and extensive knowledge on the JVM. The role offers the chance to join an extremely successful development team, offering the successful candidate to be as business facing as they choose to be. The role involves being technically hands-on to the technical build out of solutions. Successful candidate will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, and will be involved in the software design space. Skills Required: Core Java - Understanding of the merits of different Java VMs Low latency Knowledge of exchange connectivity Messaging middleware (e.g. JMS, Tibco and Solace) Knowledge of tick databases, ideally KDB and q Knowledge of SQL.
