FX Java Developer

We currently have an urgent requirement for an experienced Java Developer to support us on client project based in the City of London for a minimum of 6 months. 

To be considered for this role you will come from an FX background.  You will have experience in capital markets Front Office trading systems development, multi-threaded distributed systems and low latency trading systems.

The successful candidate will join a technology team working on the strategic client-facing platform for the global FX business, delivering low-latency price distribution, order and trade execution and post trade functions across multiple FX product types.  Your job will involve you developing the Server Side components for pricing and execution of multiple FX products. You will assist in the analysis of new requirements and provide estimates for delivery, and ensure that services developed within the team meet both functional and non-functional requirements and are well-documented and easy to support. You'll be working with other developers and QA both locally and in off-shore locations.

Skills Required:

- a proven track record of delivering multi-threaded enterprise systems involving low-latency traffic
- experience working in an agile development environment
- a good understanding of messaging technologies such as FIX, 29 West, Tibco EMS
- experience of performance optimisation including use of profiling tools
