Furniture Account Manager - Temporary 2 month contract

A small dynamic team of passionate and committed individuals working out of a vibrant and
smart medium sized office next to Blackfriars Bridge in London. There is huge potential to forge a successful career in the Commercial Interiors Industry within Footprint.

The objective of this role is to convert, validate and develop furniture opportunities
derived from existing Footprint and OPL (Footprint Parent Company) clients and
to develop new opportunities using the established Footprint portfolio. The job will require regular
travel to supplier showrooms, factories and routine visits to client sites in the Northern or Southern
region and sometimes further afield. Principal tasks are to manage the following Furniture related
functions within Footprint Furniture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Sales/Administration/Presentation - To liaise and report to the furniture administration/design and management team to ensure that the company responds in the correct manner. To ensure a quotation based upon market intelligence, knowledge of the client and prevailing market conditions is produced. Conduct client presentations/showroom visits to help convince the client/professional team of the merits of our bid and close the deal. To continually work with the Furniture team to ensure we maintain the most favourable terms from suppliers and thus maintain the target profit margin.
- Client/Supplier Interface - Field telephone and email enquiries from clients and suppliers. Manage client correspondence and project filing. Keep the furniture department appraised of developments with suppliers/clients and changes to the projects currently under management. Help manage the company database of customer/supplier contacts.
- Sales Reporting - Ensure that regular reporting of sales intelligence and activities is fed back into the management team. This will be according to the sales reporting procedure.
- General Assistance - From time to time as the need arises it may be necessary to produce and assist the team with presentation work and tender submissions not necessarily under ones direct control.
- Sales & Customer Liaison - Negotiate and influence sales whilst liaising with customers primarily over the telephone and email. Ensure target margins are achieved and indeed improved upon to maintain the highest level of profit wherever possible.

The successful candidate must be confident/reliable, professional capable of routinely presenting furniture concepts to potential clients and industry professionals. The ideal candidate will be from a FURNITURE OR DESIGN & BUILD BACKGROUND, it would be helpful if they also had contacts within END USER/DESIGN & BUILD MARKETPLACE to ensure they can make an important contribution to new business with Footprint. The ideal candidate needs to be a TEAM PLAYER within a small, dynamic team with the ability to communicate effectively, organise their day to day activities to achieve optimum results. They should have a bright positive demeanour and "CAN DO" mentality. This person must be NUMERATE, LITERATE capable of working under pressure with a comprehensive knowledge of computer software packages, OUTLOOK, POWERPOINT, EXCEL.
