Fund Operations and Middle Office Manager (1 Year Contract) Zurich

This is a senior managerial position with a leading European Fund Manager, who is hiring a team leader to cover a maternity leave. The role will oversee a team of ten people taking responsibility for payments, linking trades, reconciliations, fee calculations and ad hok administration.

Ideally you would have good operational and managerial experience within an asset manager and have an understanding of fund administration.

THE ROLE WILL BE FOR 1 YEAR MINIMUM AND WILL START FROM 1ST AUGUST 2014. CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO INTERVIEW WEEK COMMENCING 30TH JUNE 2014.

The Role:

- Manage a team of around ten people where you will oversee day to day resourcing, ensure all work is effectively delegated and keep track of holidays, sickness and performance management.
- Oversee all reconciliations and controls of NAVS, trade execution & linking, fee calculations and the preparation of financial statements.
- Support sales and portfolio managers with: liquidity, performance attribution and risk measurement.
- Ensure the team effectively answer intermediary queries and client requests.
- Manage risk within the team to ensure all work is completed accurately and on time.
- Review high value calculations to ensure accuracy in payments.

Skills/Experience:

- Previous managerial experience in a similar operational role with a fund manager.
- Experience working in fund operations or a Middle Office position where you can demonstrate knowledge of accurate fee calculations, reconciliations, trade execution and financial statements.
- Strong experience with risk management relating to both funds and the team.
- You must be available to start from 1st August 2014.
