Fund Controller - Oversight role

Our client, a large investment bank, has a requirement for a fund controller to oversee the Fund Accounting which has been delegated and performed by their Service Provider. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UK OEIC and Unit Trust Valuation processes and would of worked in a similar position before.

Key responsibilities:
*Oversee Fund Accounting - execute risk focused oversight model that addresses all aspects of Fund Accounting including: daily NAV's and month end performance NAV's, fund distributions and yield monitoring, swing pricing calculations, fund expenses, inspecies, oversee reconciliation of fund accounting and custody records, issue identification, query management and resolution.
*Management Reporting - development of materials to escalate key issues and status of initiatives as well as BAU issues. KPI reporting
*Governance/Board Reporting - Preparation of reporting to summarise oversight results to Funds' governing bodies

Qualifications
*Very good understanding of UK OEIC and Unit Trust Valuation processes
*Good understanding of Microsoft Excel (ideally Macro level).
*Experience in the investment management industry, Big 4 Public Accounting firm and/or relevant industry experience
*Asset Management experience is essential, with a strong understanding of Fund Accounting
*Technical and business knowledge of various Fund structures (eg, UK Funds) and activities from an investment, operational, regulatory, accounting and financial reporting perspective.
