Fund Accountant

Specification:

Excellent contract opportunity to join this leading and respected Investment organisation as a Fund Accountant and work with a vastly experienced team, primarily with the purpose of producing Fund/Trust Accounts, Statutory Accounts and IFRS reporting.

This is a contract role for about 6-9 months that will oversee some change within the wider business and also represent recent growth within the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting, the key responsibilities are:

Prepare Statutory Accounts for various UK Funds
Assist with Fund financial reporting &ndash IFRS reporting process
Produce Group Consolidated Accounts for multiple funds
Working with Unit Trusts and OEICS
Preparation of VAT and other tax returns
Various fund reconciliations

Additionally, knowledge of operating models i.e. pricing, trustee, depositary and OEICs would be advantageous.

This role will work in a team of up to 15 of mainly qualified accountants or experience financial service professionals.

Ideally for this position, you will be qualified, however a minimum of 2 years Fund Accounting experience (must have statutory account preparation experience) will also be given strong consideration.
