My client an URGENT requirement for an new Contract for a Systems and Safety Engineer based in Lancashire.

This is an urgent requirement and you can be starting on Monday. This is a long term project with work here for the next 3 years.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in Automotive Safety and Functional with a systems background.

The role will be to Work alongside the Software, Mechanical engineers and you will be a lead engineer when it comes to the ISO26262

Must have experience and skills in all of these areas below, minimum 5 years directly relevant experience in a professional role:-

- Experience of functional safety standards including IEC61508 or ISO26262
- Writing system level requirements and or design specifications
- Experience of conducting HAZOP, FMEA, FTA and failure rate analysis
- Design of systems with electronics and Embedded software

Desirable experience and skills:-

- Microprocessor control in Real Time Embedded systems
- Software programming in C, C++
- Use of requirements capture tools such as DOORS or CRADLE
- Done Single point failure/single failure fraction or metric calculations ISO26262

The Rate for this role is negotiable.
