Functional Safety Engineer ISO 26262 (m/f)

For an international automotive supplier we are currently looking for a functional safety engineer (m/f) with experience in ISO 26262

Location: Stuttgart area
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 6 months with extension possibility
Kind of employment: freelance or permanent employment at Harvey Nash

Job description:
1. HWbringup and port of existing functions (STEP1):
- Support of HW team wih HW bringup, verification and EMC testing;
- Porting of MCAL, OS and 3rd party libraries on te two new micros;
- Porting and adaptation of existing inhouse module;

2. Function completion, verification and documentation (STEP 2):
- Completing of integrations from step 1;
- Implementation of functional safety functions;
- Maintenance, bug fix and validation delivery;
- Project Documentation (test report, code review report, design documentation, etc...);

Skills:
- Good knowledge in embedded C development environments and SW development tools in Automotive industry
- Good knowledge in HW/SW architecture of complex microprocessors (CPU, BUS and peripherals)
- Good knowledge in Vector CANoe and CAN bus simulator
- knowledge in requirements management (Doors)
- functional safety know how (ISO 26262)
- fluent in English language, German is an advantage
