Functional Designer Non-Life Insurance (Brussels)

Je functie: Context of the mission
The candidate will work within the Non-Life IS division. This group is responsible for all Non-Life products related developments (maintenance and new functionalities) of underwriting applications or claims management. The applications are developed based on a Cobol / DB2 back-office, with various technologies used on the visual side.
As Functional Designer, you will
° Primarily be in charge of translating business objectives and ideas into detailed requirements and design of extensible solutions.
If the person has enough technical knowledge, this can be based on a technical analysis of the existing systems and/or contain a part of technical analysis.
° Prepare functional test cases based on the requirements
° Test of the product before delivery to the users
° Follow up of technical designers and programmers.

The candidate will collaborate closely with the business, his peers & the architects to
elaborate the functional description of IT solutions taking into account short term projects
objectives & a long term vision of the application landscape. He/she is responsible for the
correct implementation & testing of the solution within the planning, budget and quality
constraints

Level of education required
Master in relevant domain (or equivalent through experience)

Language requirement
Dutch or French, one fluent and good understanding of the other one.
