This is a 12 month contract opportunity.Overview
Our Client has recently upgraded its PeopleSoft Finance & Supply Chain application to version 9.1 and requires an external resource to perform the role of PeopleSoft Functional Consultant. Currently the modules used as part of the solution are General Ledger, Payables, Billing, Receivables, Purchasing, Inventory and Asset Management.
Project Scope and Project Objectives: - Finance & Supply Chain Assessment Report
- Functional Design/Configuration Considerations
Role and Responsibilities
- Review the current state of the system and the related business processes.
- Identify and validate ways to leverage PeopleSoft 9.1 to automate and streamline business processes.
- Analyze unused PeopleSoft functionality to determine where it can better support eh business requirements.
Qualifications
Required Skills - PeopleSoft FSCM experience with strong knowledge of the FSCM application and processes for the identified modules
- Strong knowledge of integration between various PeopleSoft modules
- Ability to work with a variety of business resources
- Strong analytical and design skills
- Ability to document functional requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Good understanding of the technical tools used in the PeopleSoft environment
- Testing experience including all system and end user testing
- Previous PeopleSoft experience with version 9.1
- Prior experience as PeopleSoft functional lead
- Ability to manage deliverables and schedules
- Ability to utilize functional and business process knowledge and recommend solutions
Desired Skills: - Take a leadership role in facilitating and performing analysis in their assigned module/business areas
- Ability to utilize past experience to offer recommendations for improvements to business processes
- Understanding of FSCM practices and regulations applicable to client's business processes and translate them into PeopleSoft application configurations
- Ability to provide functional thought leadership and collaborate with technical teams to identify opportunities for implementation
- Ability to manage the delivery of, and produce top quality documents/deliverables including, but not limited to: i) Functional Business Requirement Specifications ii) Functional Design iii) Application Configurations iv) Test Plan and Execution v) Business Process Designs
- Previous experience with development and delivery of application security
- Mastery knowledge of the current release modules of PeopleSoft FSCM and the related business processes
- Experience in medium to large-scale PeopleSoft implementations
- Previous work experience with Municipal, other Government Organizations or similar regulatory environments
- Ability to transition knowledge to existing staff
