Functional/Business Analyst, Tax Project (Fatca), Bank, Luxembourg

OBJECTIVE:
Functional/Business Analyst to work on a Foreign Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) project for my client, an international bank based in Luxembourg involved in securities processing/settlement/clearing/custody. FATCA deals with the implementation of a new US tax requirement in addition to the existing US Taxation regime.

TASKS:

Analyse IRS (Internal Revenue Service of the US) publications regarding FATCA and retrieve from those legal documentation process flows and design solutions for the Bank's systems.

Systems Requirement Analysis documentation (SRA);

Discuss and agree process flows and solution proposal with tax operation unit of Bank.

Draft functional system requirements from agreed process flows and be the editor of the requirements document;

Analyse and review SDS documentation to verify that all functional requirements are part of the designed solution;

Draft functional acceptance criteria and prepare test data;

Execute and verify functional acceptance criteria in all phases including Business Acceptance Testing;

Analyse, draft and review Change Requests within the project implementation phase;

Contribute and assist in external and internal readiness activities;

Assist and contribute to project management report preparation for senior management;

Participate in Transition and Implementation.

SKILLS:

Senior Analyst with several years experience in financial sector;

Background in FATCA/QI or other tax projects (like OGAF in Germany);

Business analysis techniques;

Be able to give guidance to less experienced project team members throughout the analysis process;

Taking the lead in editing the system requirement document;

Some experience in test preparation and test execution;

Good knowledge in the financial sector, in particular global capital markets with a focus on Tax. Previous experience, in investment banking, asset management, custodian or an ICSD (International Centralised Securities Depositary or similar will be a plus).

Languages: English essential (plus any French or German nice to have but not essential).
