Functional Analyst Wanted (93987)

We are currently searching for a FUNCTIONAL ANALYST to work in BRUSSELS, BELGIUM for at least 3 months plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

For its development teams working on in-house developed products, our customer is actively looking for a functional/business analyst with IT development background who will be able to:

- Understand and document the XML data transformation needs between internal XML messages and external EDI messages
- Configuring/writing mappings to translate XML messages using the data transformation tool Contivo from Liaison
- Take initiatives for meetings with the business and the team and be responsible for the follow up
- Produce functional system specifications compliant to the Our customer methodology standards, CBD oriented (Component Based Development)

The candidate will need the following required skills:

- Strong knowledge of XML
- Sound knowledge of mapping and the CBD principles
- Analytical and synthesizing skills
- Proven experience as functional analyst
- Good balance between methodological approach and respect for practical contraints
- Ability to work independently and proactively, under supervision of the project leader
- Fluently in French or Dutch (or Flamish) and English
