Functional Analyst - Machelen - Belgium (Junior to Mid-Level)

FUNCTIONAL ANALYST

LOCATION: Machelen, Belgium

We are currently seeking a FUNCTIONAL ANALYST for a customer in Machelen.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE TOOLING KNOWLEDGE!

ACTIVITIES

- Draw up functional analysis' and functional designs
- Proactively work on templates and formats for Functional descriptions
- Analyse business requirements
- Create test scenarios based on the functional analysis
- Perform Functional Acceptance testing (FAT - or UAT dry run)
- Creation of SOW (statement of work) for external partners
- Work in a team, and follow up on the technical design when needed (does it match the functional description)
- Work with business consultants and business users
- Work on our application documentation as part of the IT team
- Adhere to corporate and local standards

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Excellent knowledge of Business Process concepts (modelling tools, key concepts, methodologies)
- Excellent knowledge of programming concepts. Hands-on experience in at least one programming language is mandatory
- Excellent knowledge of database concepts. Hans-on experience in at least one database platform is mandatory

KPI'S

- Delivery time of analysis (forecast versus delivered)
- Joint KPI with project team on delivery of planned functionality
- Quality of functional analysis (assess by technical designers/programmers and Project managers/change coordinators)
- Quality of created solution and number of defects in UAT

NICE TO HAVE'S

- ITIL certification is a bonus
- Project Management Experience is a bonus
- PMBOK
- Key concepts in project mgmt. (from idea to requirements to planning to execution)
- Experience with in one of the following domains is a big plus
- Uniface 8 and upwards
