Functional Analyst HR

Within the Corporate IS Division or at the corporate level of a Business Line or a large BU/entity, the IS Functional Analyst helps the business to define needs and solutions to be implemented in order to improve integration into the company's Information Systems. The IS Functional Analyst translates the needs expressed by the business into functional specifications to be commissioned by the appropriate teams.

The is a generalist role with both operational and IS skills, whose responsibility, within their assigned area of responsibility, is to provide operational, methodological and technical advisory services by completing or conducting research and analyses, with the objective of helping management to make decisions.

The IS Functional Analyst, in charge of changes to IS for a process or several processes, is as well an expert in software packages for a particular business area and advises the business on the possibilities offered by the software package.

The principal domains for the IS Functional Analyst will be the following domains :

- Time Registration, HR Master Data, Payroll
- Planning / dispatching
- Track & Trace
- Controlling

For this in particular the IS Functional Analyst will :

- Understand the business processes the application will support in the business context.
- Assist the user in the definition and writing/updating of functional requirements
- Assess the fit between the user requirements and their implementations in the platform.
- Lead the acceptance functional testing, help in the structuration of the test scenarios, help writing/updating the test scenarios
- Assist in writing/updating the functional documentation, training material and user documentation
- Assist all the quality assessment and management activities.
- Support and use the tools that help support these tasks e.g. Jira, TestLink

More related to the application itself the functional analyst is supposed to :

- Understand the application architecture and the actual implementation of the its different parts.
- Understand the platform specfic ergonomics, user interfaces, navigation,etc
- Understand and assist in the functional specifc configurations

The job will need a knowledge and experience in enterprise business processes.
