Functional Analyst, Cobol, DB2

Proteus Europe is searching for a Functional Analyst/Designer who has experience with Cobol and DB2 skills for one of our clients based in Belgium.

Our Client:-
Our client is a major player in the insurance industry. The company provide life insurance and non-life insurance (auto, fire, accident, hospitalization, civil liability and other) and supplementary pensions.

Your New role:-

As a Functional Designer, you will:

- Be in charge of translating business requirements into a structured IT solution while keeping a functional approach.
- Help translating this functional design into well-tailored technical design.
- Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements
- Test the product before delivery to the users
- Analyse potential corrective actions to be taken.
- Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities
- Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs.
- Actively support the Project leaders in the project implementation

Your Skills and experience:-

Essential Skills:-
- Significant experience as Functional Analyst, in direct contact with Business stakeholders.
- Experience with analysis methodologies
- Think in term of - services-
- Make the bridge between business, technical and functional worlds

Desirable Skills:-
- Project leading principleslexperience - Prince2 methodology
- Test management principles (TMAP)
- Knowledge of technical analysis
- Web based ClientlServer systems with MF Back End (Cobol l DB2)
- Batch process experience
- Cobol/DB2 experience
